Information to Assist You in Making a Reservation or Planning Your Stay


Reservations Browse through the website and choose a home that will suit your party’s needs. Please call us during regular office hours to confirm the availability of your selections and to secure a reservation. After you reserve the property, we will send you an email with your rental lease. Please review, sign, and return along with deposit within 10 days of the lease date (unless otherwise noted). When making your remittance, please be note your lease ID number. When viewing a property in person, the lease needs to be signed and a deposit made that day. We cannot hold properties. Final payment must be made no later than 14 days prior to your arrival. Checks should be made payable to Riordan Real Estate. Payments made after this 14 day deadline must be made by a cashier’s check, certified check, money order or cash (in person only). We do not accept credit/debit cards Canadian reservation payments must be made in U.S. funds by money order or by cashier’s check payable on a U.S. bank. Last minute reservations made less than 14 days prior to check-in require full payment via cashiers/certified check or money order mailed overnighted to Riordan Real Estate. We cannot accept personal checks.
Security Deposits & Damage Protection As a part of your stay, a Vacation Rental Damage Protection Plan is included. It is designed to cover unintentional damages to the rental unit interior that occur during your stay provided they are disclosed to management prior to check-out. If purchased, the policy will pay a maximum benefit of $1500.00. Any damages that exceed $1500.00 or are not covered under the plan will be the responsibility of the leaseholder. If, during your stay at one of our rental properties, an insured person causes any damage to real or personal property of the unit as a result of inadvertent acts or omissions, the Insurer will reimburse the Insured for the cost of repair or replacement of such property up to a maximum benefit of 1500.00. Certain terms and conditions apply. Full details of the Vacation Rental Damage coverage are contained in the Description of Coverage or Insurance Policy. By submitting payment for this plan, you authorize and request CSA Travel Protection and Insurance Services to pay directly to Riordan Real Estate Inc. any amount payable under the terms and conditions of the Vacation Rental Damage. If a security deposit is required, the amount varies by property. The security deposit must be paid along with your final payment. Leaseholder is responsible for damage caused by leaseholder, leaseholder’s invitees and/or damage by pet(s). The house should be left broom clean and damage free. It is the leaseholder’s responsibility to report any damage in the property, either accidental or incidental. After guest departure each property will be carefully inspected that it is left clean and free of damage. If the home is left damage-free, the security deposit will be returned within 30 days of check-out.
Travel Insurance Plan CSA Travel Protection has been made available with your reservation. Vacation Rental Insurance provides coverage for financial losses you may incur because of unforeseen circumstances, illness and injuries. The cost of Trip Interruption Insurance is indicated on your rental lease and is due with your advance payment. For details, please read the brochure outlining the benefits, exclusions and limitations. You should call the CSA toll free number, (800)-874-2442, for any questions about coverage. We highly recommend this coverage to protect your vacation investment. Riordan Real Estate and the homeowners we represent are not responsible to refund monies paid in the event of cancellation. Cancellations In the event that you must cancel your reservation, notify our office as soon as possible in writing. We will make reasonable effort to re-rent the property. If we re-rent your property, all monies (less processing fee) will be returned after we have received the rent payment from the new tenant. If we are unable to re-rent the property, the full rent payment will be forfeited.
Check-In Most check-ins occur on Saturdays after 1 PM although some properties check-in times differ. Plan your arrival accordingly. Unfortunately we are usually unable to accommodate early check-ins. At check-in you will receive one set of keys and directions to the rental property. If arriving after hours and paid in full, call the office and we will make arrangements for you to pick up your check in packet after hours.
Check-Out Check-out is no later than 10 AM sharp on your date of departure. Guest check-out duties: take out trash, vacuum, wash and put away dishes or start dishwasher as listed on the back of your check-in packet. These tasks should be completed and keys returned to our office. If you plan to depart outside of our regular office hours, please leave the keys in the key box next to the office door.
